First, I want to thank you for all my registered shareware users, which is currently 90 users over course of three years, supporting NotePad++ DA.
I usually get a deluge of suggestions in improving NotePad++ by various registered and non-registered users. Mostly by non-registered users. Please understand if I don't use your suggestions. It is not because I don't care, but mostly lack of programming time. My aveage available time is approximately three hours a week. And, anybody knows anything about programming would say "That's hardly any time!". This is due to my first-born son, Joseph, a couple of years ago. My family life comes first, then my place of employment at Hughes Aircraft Company which pays the bills, then programming on my Macintosh.
So, after all this saying, would explain why upgrades are very slow incoming. I plan to spend more time on v2.0 which will support TAB characters, extend more than 32,000 characters per page, and multiple windows rather just one window. The v2.0 will be using different Text Edit routines supplied by Word Solution Engine™ rather Apple's ROM routines. I hope to have beta version available sometime this coming summer '93. However, I still plan to support this version v1.4 to v1.5 for standard maintenance upgrades.
